St. Patty's Day!

Posted by Sara McKenzie on Sunday, March 20, 2016 Under: Special Events

This festive green event may be more enthusiastically celebrated by the adults however we still had a jolly green time. Though none of us were dressed in any green or orange and one of us decided it was clothing optional we still managed to get through most of the activities that got planned for today.

We started out the day with some music and what better instrument for St. Patty’s Day then that of the guitar. Everyone was excited and enthusiastic to get their chance to strum the cords and make some noise. We got our bodies all warmed up and moving with a festive song called Leapin’ Leprechauns (via ccprn newsletters).

After snack time we moved on to our absolutely beautiful themed coloring pages by the brilliantly creative Krista Wallden

We played with numbers counting from 0 to 30 and used them to play a game and search through each number from high and from low for that sneaky missing pot of gold. I got this fun printout from Katie Roltgen

And finally to wrap up the day we had a special tasty treat the kids and I just couldn’t get enough of, delicious Irish Potato Candy. This simple and easy to make snack recipe was from momswhothink.com
